In this fun class, you will create your very own Intention Junk Journal! A ‘junk journal’ is one that is created with a mix of found and recycled materials and is meant, primarily, to be used in whichever way you choose. In this instance, they will be created with bits of paper, some strips of fun and funky ribbon and lots of ephemera! Their main function in this class will be to for us to fill the handmade whimsical journals with our intentions of 2024 and throw in there the’ junk’ of everyday life that we need to get off our shoulders. Whether it be to write down words of inspiration, thoughts for you to reflect on, ideas that you may have, a place to keep your deepest secrets, as well as a few bits of found paper, flower petals or that recipe you tore out of an old magazine – the junk journal will be your very own piece of functional art to help guide you through your days and help keep your thoughts in one fun, personally made, place. We will also be pouring an intention candle in this class. Nicole is a mom, grandma and dog mom who enjoys spending as much free time as possible creating fun, whimsical and useful art items. Living in New Boston, Nicole sometimes takes inspiration from the nature that surrounds her to incorporate pieces into her art & believes that every day should have some small element of art making entwined within it. As a self-taught mixed media artist and believer that everyone possesses the ability to create art, Nicole is a creator from the heart creating tangible pieces of fun artwork, containing messages of intention, belief and affirmation that will help guide you through the ups and downs, of every day life. This is a BYBO event so feel free to bring your drink of choice and any snacks if you'd like.
