Watercolor Wonders Camp Ages: 8–12 Time: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM Weeks Available: July 28 - August 1 August 4 - 8 A full week of painting magic! Campers will dive into the colorful world of watercolor art as they learn brush techniques, color blending, and how to express themselves through vibrant, creative projects. Each camper will receive their own high-quality watercolor set, brush kit, artist journal, and custom Green Envy carry bag to continue creating at home. Throughout the week, we’ll explore daily painting prompts, fun projects, and a special final piece that campers will frame and display at our end-of-week art show for family and friends! Day 1: Meet the Magic of Watercolor Focus: Techniques like wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, salt texture, and color blending Project: Watercolor Technique Sampler Poster Bonus: Design your own carry tote to use all week Day 2: Animals in Watercolor Focus: Layering colors, using reference images Project: Paint your favorite animal in a whimsical background Bonus: Quick lesson on using watercolor pencils Day 3: Under the Sea Focus: Color gradients, cool color palette Project: Ocean scene with fish, jellyfish, or sea turtles Day 4: Magical Gardens Focus: Nature-inspired textures, using sponges and plastic wrap Project: Watercolor florals or a fantasy garden scene Day 5: My Mini Masterpiece & Art Show Focus: Pulling together all learned techniques Project: A final framed watercolor painting on heavy paper Bonus: End-of-camp “Art Show” where kids can display their work and invite parents at 11:15!
